Who Wants Some Action From Shahid Kapoor?

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is excited about the action sequences in his upcoming movies Phata Poster Nikla Hero and Rambo Rajkumar. The actor also clarifies that there is no south Indian connection to it and urges not to give it such a tag. "There is no southern connection as such. I think we should end saying this southern thing because today almost all second film has that friendly of action and people seem to be really liking it. The entire country responds to that," said Shahid.
This type of film with action is first of its kinds of the 31-year-old. "If people enjoy it in the film, I will be glad because it is for the first time I am doing this friendly of action. There is more coming in Rambo Rajkumar. So both the films will have a lot of action and I am excited," he said. At the wrap-up part of Phata Poster Nikla Hero, Shahid reveals that the lead actress Ileana D'Cruz will also be doing a few stunts. "She was very nervous when we were doing stunts because she says her skin is sensitive and it gets bruised easily. She was very paranoid about that," said the chocolate boy. "But we did a few rehearsals. Ileana was a tiny uncomfortable and we tried our best to make her comfortable," he added. Phata Poster Nikla Hero is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The movie will hit the theatres on August 23 this year. In the movie, Shahid Kapoor is seen playing the role of Vishwas Rao, who is an aspiring actor. Rambo Rajkumar is an action film directed by Prabhu Deva and it will hit the theatres upon November 29 this year.

Jayasurya in a trap

Jayasurya was in the news recently when he, with a group of friends, filled the big potholes in some of the roads in Kochi with stones.
His action had happened late in the night when the city was silent and many youngsters were inspired by this and had come forward to help him in closing the potholes.

Dulquer launches NPCB audio

Dulquer Salmaan is celebrating his birthday  today (July 28). On his birthday the fastest rising star will be in Kochi for the audio launch of his road movie Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi (NPCB).
The NPCB audio launch will take place at IMA Hall with hundreds of Royal Enfield bikes and performance by the band PATHAYAM. The film produced and directed by Sameer Thahir features Dulquer Salmaan, Dhritiman Chatterjee and Sunny Wayne in the lead roles.
NPCB has been extensively shot on the roads in the north-eastern state of Nagaland and six other states like Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, West Bengal and Sikkim.

`Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal` is almost complete

Udhayanidhi Stalin and his director SR Prabhakaran has completed 75% of the shoot of their Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal (IKK), starring Udhayanidhi, Santhanam and Nayanthara.
SR Prabhakaran, after the success of Sundarapandian says, IKK is a family entertainer laced with comedy.
The film has another 15 days of shoot and post-production work to be completed. IKK has music by Harris Jayaraj and is being planned for early release through Red Giants.

'Kalimannu' censored

Blessys controversial Kalimannu starring Swetha Menon has been censored on Tuesday (July 23) and cleared with an UA certificate.
The film which was earlier scheduled to be a Ramzan release has now been pushed to August 23, due to non-availability of screens.
Kalimannu is inspired by the puranic story of Abhimanyu and his mother Subhadra, the film portrays the relationship of the protagonist with her baby, before and after it is born.
Remember the controversy surrounding the Blessy film when  Swetha Menon's genuine life delivery was shot live on camera, for the film. The delivery filming caused a "culture shock" in Kerala.
Blessy told :  I dont understand the controversy which is media made. There is nothing objectionable or controversial in the film. The trailer and song were well received and censors loved the film. Let the public judge for itself when the film releases on August 23.

No satellite rights, Mollywood facing a crisis

There are not many film industries, which are so dependent upon satellite rights, like Malayalam.
With almost the entire budget of the film being offered as satellite rights (that is the amount given by the TV channels), anyone who had seen a camera or at least a couple of movies venture out to become a filmmaker.
The result is that from an average number of 100 releases per year, 2013 saw films raining in a rather amazing way. Almost 85 Malayalam films got released until June this year.
Most of them were beautiful ordinary films, which did atrocious business at the theatres but were made eyeing the channel right buyers. More than 30 new directors made their debut until June this year. The numbers of projects, which are progressing and had to be stopped midway, are indeed shocking.
Now the TV channels have put their foot down and have come up with some conditions to buy films. With enough to pick from, they are insisting on quality projects. Now, the films with some of the popular stars like Mammootty, Mohanlal,
Dileep and Prithviraj have demand yet, but the rest of the films are being bought on merit.
The unprecedented move from the TV channels has resulted in a huge crisis in Mollywood, with several projects, made with the idea of recovering the investments mainly from the satellite rights not finding any takers.

And moments later, in a scene where Rohit Shetty is seen messing with Deepika, the heroine really lets him have it, breaking a cola bottle upon his head! Now, before all you SRK and Rohit Shetty fans begin complaining about your fav superstars getting hurt, dont! It was all fun and games, as if you didnt know it! But it feels good no, to see a girl beating the daylights out of grown men?
