Top 10 Foods To Healthy Weight Gain

Losing weight is tough, but gaining weight could be tougher. Proper diet, focussed goals and exercise are some things that can help even the skinniest among us put on some weight. Experts suggest that you should consume 1 g of protein for every pound of your total bodyweight, i.e. if you weigh 120 pounds (54.4 kgs) then you should consume 120 g of protein.
Eating junk food like burgers and pizza may help you get more calories, but you may not be able to digest everything if you don’t supplement them with fruits and vegetables rich in fibre. Nutrition expert’s says, ‘Increase your appetite by eating more to gain weight. But do it step-by-step and not by stuffing yourself too much at one go. Add one extra chapatti or more rice than you normally consume, or you could even start with fruits by eating an extra one every day.’ Weight training too is a good option for those looking to gain weight, as it can help you gain more muscle. Besides that, including the following foods in your diet is also a good idea.
  • Milk
Milk is a great source of protein and carbohydrates, along with many other nutrients making it great for weight gain. A 100 ml serving contains around 3.4g of protein and if you drink 2 glasses every day, you would have consumed 14g of protein.

Mxit is available for download on not just smartphone OSes like Android, iOS, Windows Phone and BlackBerry, but is also available on Java and Symbian platforms. Its USP is the fact that it can work on basic-data enabled feature phones too and can run on even plain-old 2G connections.

India Outplayed Once Again, Lose Series To NZ 4-0

India's losing streak in 2014 saw them succumbing to another embarrassing defeat at Wellington on Friday, when hosts New Zealand outplayed the visitors yet again, winning the fifth ODI by 87 runs to take home the series 4-0.
Set a daunting 304 to win, thanks to another disappointing performance by their bowlers, India could score just 216 - mainly due to Virat Kohli's 82 and MS Dhoni's 47. Kiwi pacer Matt Henry made a dream debut taking 4 for 38 in his 10 overs, while Kane Williamson backed his fifth consecutive half-century with a spell of 2 for 19.
Indian openers were once again off to a disastrous start as they lost Rohit Sharma for four when he got out after giving an easy chance to Taylor in the first slip off Kyle Mills. Shikhar Dhawan soon followed him into the pavilion after scoring 9 runs off 28 balls. Debutant Henry had him caught by Nathan McCullum at second slip.
Kiwi pacers piled more misery on Indian batsmen as Henry got his second wicket of the match after trapping Ajinkya Rahane plumb in front of the wickets for 2, leaving India at 30 for 3 in the 14th over.
Kohli's 82 was the only saving grace as the visitors failed to put up a fight against the Kiwi bowlers. Rayudu (20) and Kohli added 48 runs for the fourth wicket but Henry got his third of the day when he had Rayudu caught by Williamson at gully. Kohli smashed three maximums and seven boundaries in his gutsy 78-ball knock as he tried to increase the scoring rate soon after reaching his 30th ODI fifty off 60 balls.

Indian Hackers Deface Pakistani Websites After Massive Republic Day Cyber-Attack

It’s becoming a bit of an annual ritual now; Pakistani hackers deface Indian websites and Indian hackers hit back.
This year too leading up to and on Republic Day, a massive number of Indian websites were attacked and defaced by Pakistani hackers. In response, Indian hackers broke into more than 100 Pakistani websites yesterday. Sources in the Global Cyber Security Response Team (GCSRT) in Bangalore told media that the seemingly retaliatory attacks are expected to continue. The attacks are signed by the ‘Indian Cyber Rakshak’ with the affected sites displayed the group’s message “Hacked by Indian Cyber Rakshak”.
On Republic Day, Pakistani hackers defaced 2,118 Indian websites, including those of the Central Bank of India and the website of model-turned-actress Poonam Pandey. Her website fell victim to a group calling itself ‘Team Madleets’ and it had graffiti left behind that displayed messages such as “Pakistan Zindabad.”
Cyber security experts told the paper that some hackers who broke into the Indian websites have been identified, though only by their hacker names. These include “StrikerRude”, “KashmirCyberArmy”, “PakCyber Expert”, “HUnter Gujar”. The operation, if one can call it that, was called “#OP26jan”. The January 26 attack came two weeks after 1,400 other Indian websites had been hacked, the sources said.

Hero Motocorp Diesel Vehicle Unveiled

In a technological showcase designed to highlight the company's future plans, Hero MotoCorp unveiled on Wednesday a diesel-electric hybrid scooter concept, 'RNT', which sports what is likely the world's first and smallest diesel engine for two-wheelers. This was part of a showcase of five completely new products, which will be shown at the Auto Expo and, of which, four will be launched from the April-June, 2014 quarter.
“Ahead lies a very promising destiny. We want to become a global brand, which we cannot without a full range. From just over 6-million-unit sales today, Hero is targeting 10 million units by 2016-17, of which 1 million will come from overseas markets. Hero was previously restricted by the JV with Honda to enter global markets or start its R&D, which it has since become aggressive about.

38 Tamil Nadu Fishermen Arrested By Sri Lankan Navy

Thirty-eight Tamil Nadu fishermen were on Thursday arrested by Sri Lankan navy for allegedly crossing the International Maritime Boundary line, three days after fishermen representatives of India and Sri Lanka met to discuss the vexed fishing issue.
The fishermen along with their five boats have been taken by the Lankan Navy to the Kangesanthurai Port, officials said. Officials said the fishermen were fishing using "Irattai Madippu" fishing nets which had been banned by both countries as they destroyed the marine ecology. In Colombo, Sri Lankan Naval spokesman Kosala Warnakualsuriya said the fishermen were arrested off the islet of Delft in the northern Jaffna peninsula. Having spotted them inside Sri Lankan waters they had been warned to leave and the failure to do so forced the arrest, the Navy said. The arrest came hours after External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid held extensive talks with his Sri Lankan counterpart G L Peiris on key bilateral issues including fishermen. The meeting, which came close on the heels of a visit by Sri Lankan Fisheries and Aquatic Resource Development Minister Rajitha Senaratne here, assessed "positively" the recent meeting in Chennai between the fishermen associations as a first step in the right direction and agreed to consider the proposals put forward by the fishermen associations. Sri Lankan fishing community leaders said the Indians had agreed to stop bottom trawling and needed a grace period of one month before it could be halted.

Tips For Better Tongue

Dentist's say's the tongue’s condition speaks volumes about one’s hygiene consciousness and also reveals one’s health status.
Experts, says if brushing the teeth is important, cleaning the tongue is equally essential. Brushing the tongue once in a while is not enough to maintain good tongue hygiene.
Here are a few tips from experts, including Sonali Bassi, oral care expert at parentune.com, that will help you to keep you tongue clean:
  1.  Clean the tongue on a regular basis to prevent bacteria from growing. You can use toothbrushes designed for cleaning the tongue or the ones which have an attachment on the reverse side of it. Don’t use the front part (the one you use for brushing teeth) to clean the tongue.
  2. Another way is to scrape your tongue with a thoroughly washed tongue-cleaner or scraper. While scraping, don’t apply too much pressure. Scrape it in a downward motion at least two to three times. If the pressure is too much you may hurt your tongue. Brushing teeth also should be done in a particular way.
  3. You can use toothpaste to coat your tongue before scraping. Toothpaste neutralizes bacteria on tongue and helps to remove them easily.
  4. Rinse your mouth with water thoroughly after scraping.

Taylor's ninth one-day international century, compiled in 110 balls with 14 boundaries, comfortably steered New Zealand past India's total of 278-5, and gave New Zealand a 3-0 series lead with one game remaining.

BCCI Website Defaced By Bangladesh-Based Hacker

Joining the likes of Microsoft and CNN, BCCI has become the latest organisation to fall prey to hack attacks. The Board of Control for Cricket in India’s official website was hacked over the weekend by a Bangladesh-based hacker.
The hack was carried out late last night, reports SportsKeeda and the website was still defaced till the morning of January 27. The bcci.tv website showed up mangled text, skewed images and a message that read “Hacked by Ashik Iqbal Chy [sic]”. As of this writing, the website is currently under maintenance and is still not back up or working to its full capacity. Multiple news articles were also hacked, displaying a picture of the Bangladeshi cricket team taking a lap of honour after a winning match. It also contained a message that read, “Don’t mess up with Tigers [sic]”. A link redirected users to a Facebook page belonging to the aforementioned Ashik Iqbal, where a post detailed the list of BCCI-related websites the hacker had broken into.
While the hacker did not mention the reason behind the hack, it is widely believed to have occurred thanks to developments in the upper echelons of the International Cricket Council. The “big three” boards of the cricketing world – India, Australia and England – are slated to get more control over the running of the game. Naturally, this proposed move has upset other boards as well as fans globally.

Vodafone Draws Up Plan To Take On Airtel, Reliance Jio

Vodafone India is drawing up strategies to take on Mukesh Ambani headed Reliance Jio Infocomm and current market leader Bharti Airtel, hoping to use spectrum garnered from the upcoming sale to deepen network coverage as well as deploy future technologies.
UK-based Vodafone Group Plc's India unit expects intense competition for spectrum in the 900 Mhz band in the important Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata circles where its licences are ending later this year, Vishant Vora, company's technology director told media.
While the more efficient 900MHz bandwidth is particularly suited for indoor coverage - increasing its attractiveness for operators - India's No. 2 operator will also be interested in the 1800 MHz bandwidth which can later be used to offer fourth generation (4G) telecom services. Both Jio and Bharti have bandwidth in the 2300 Mhz to offer 4G services, but Vodafone doesn't. So far, Jio hasn't started its 4G services - which allows downloads almost 10 times faster than 3G, while Bharti Airtel offers it in a few cities.
Hefty earnest money deposits for auctions starting February 3 by Vodafone India, Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio and Idea Cellular indicate that all four could be part of a major slugfest in Delhi and Mumbai circles in the 900 Mhz band, say analysts. Some key circles in 1800 Mhz band could also see keen fights for airwaves.

Tips For Choosing The Ideal Mate

For the hopelessly single, finding the ideal mate seems like a daunting, impossible task. However, the truth about finding an ideal mate is actually very simple – it's simply that many people just don't know where to look or how to begin. If you're keen to get out of singledom and into a loving relationship, this article's geared at helping you work out how to get started on your search.
Figure out your own mind first. The first step to finding your ideal mate is a paper and a pen. No, you're not going to write a personal ad. What you are going to do is list your traits and the traits you desire in a mate. Included in this list should be: your personality traits and those of a desired mate, your physical traits, and the desired physical traits your mate will have, as well as interests and hobbies, religion and beliefs (both yours and if your mate must be the same religion or hold a similar belief system or lack thereof), desire for children and your willingness to accept another's children, your communication style, etc. You may want to draw on the help of your friends for the personality portion, as well as your past relationships. If you take a look over this, it'll be easier for you to recognize what personality types you got along with the best.
Turn the list into a profile of what kind of mate you're looking for. This is a skeleton of a person. It should not be a list of demands, but rather a basic outline of the soul you're looking for. The list needs to be realistic and prioritized.
  • By looking at the profile, you will see what aspects are important to you that you may not have realized before. For example, suppose you like being outdoors, and exercising, then look for a hiking group - perhaps at a religious group, community group, or a local outdoors club like the Sierra Club.
  • Although you don't have to have everything in common with someone, it's a good start to find someone who has some things in common.

India Lose 2nd ODI , No 1 Spot

India's overseas performance took a further dip in New Zealand on Wednesday when MS Dhoni's men were beaten by New Zealand in the second ODI at Hamilton, with the 15-run (D/L) loss also snatching the No. 1 ODI rank from the world champions.
Set a revised target of 297, after two rain delays in the New Zealand innings turned the game into a 42-over affair, India once again looked over-reliant on Virat Kohli whose 78 kept India in the game. But Kohli's dismissal once again proved to be detrimental to India's chances, until Dhoni launched a last-ditch effort for an improbable win with his 56.
India's loss became Australia's gain, who have now regained the No. 1 rank in the ICC ODI rankings.
Indian bowling once again failed for most part until a final burst from Mohammad Shami (3 for 55) restricted New Zealand score that got a major push from Corey Anderson's 17-ball 44, which included five towering sixes. Before Anderson, Kane Williamson (77) got his second consecutive half-century and Ross Taylor contributed a 56-ball 57 to set the launchpad.
NZ reached 271 for 7 in their 42 overs, adding a whopping 101 runs in 8.4 overs after the second rain interruption, but the target for India was revised to 297 per D/L method, which was always going to be a stiff ask for the Indian batting with out-of-form openers and a middle order solely dependent on Kohli.

Dell Unveils Android, Windows 8 Tablets

PC maker Dell announced its first major launch with the introduction of 'Venue' line up of Android and Windows-based devices in India, one of its top 10 markets globally.
In September last year, founder of the US-based computer maker Michael Dell had announced the decision to make the firm private as it focussed on changing technology trends and emphasis on mobility and virtualisation.
The company, which is trying to make inroads in the Indian tablet market, will also add 40 exclusive Dell stores by February-end to expand its retail presence in the country.
"India is one of our top 10 markets and it was important that we bring our latest offering here. With our versatile range of tablets, we want to be a leading player in this market, which is witnessing strong growth," Dell India Executive Director and GM P Krishnakumar told media.
